Can you get a pool table out of a basement?
Yes, and that is where most of them are. It comes apart before it moves, so narrow stairs and a turn at the bottom are far less of a problem than people expect.
How heavy is a slate pool table?
A full size three piece slate table runs 700 to 1,000 pounds, with each slate slab at 150 to 250 pounds on its own. That is why it is a crew job rather than a two friends and a pickup job.
Do you take the table apart?
Yes, that is the job. Pockets and rails come off, the felt is lifted, the slate is unbolted and carried out slab by slab, and the frame goes last.
Will you damage my stairs or walls?
Taking it apart first is what prevents that. A slate table dragged out whole is how stair treads and walls get damaged, which is why we never move one that way.
Can you move it instead of taking it away?
We are a removal company rather than a moving company, so we haul it off. If you want it relocated within the same house, a pool table installer is the right call and will re level it afterwards.
Do you take air hockey and arcade machines too?
Yes. Air hockey, foosball, shuffleboard and arcade cabinets all go the same way, and most people clearing a games room have us take the whole lot in one trip.
