E-Waste Removal

Why can I not just put electronics in the trash?
Screens, circuit boards and batteries contain lead, mercury and lithium, so Ohio classes them as electronic waste. Curbside trash will not take them and landfills will not accept them.
Is there a charge for e-waste?
Usually yes, because the recycler charges by item or by weight for certain categories, televisions and monitors in particular. We give you the number before we come out.
What happens to my data?
We do not offer certified data destruction, so wipe or remove your drives before we collect if the data matters. If you need certified destruction with a certificate, say so and we will point you to a specialist who does it.
Do you take old televisions?
Yes, including the heavy tube and rear projection sets. Those are the single most common e-waste item we get called out for.
Can you clear a whole office?
Yes. Server rooms, IT store rooms and entire floors. We schedule around your business hours, or outside them if that causes less disruption.
Do you take batteries and light bulbs?
Batteries yes, and they get separated out rather than mixed into the load. Fluorescent tubes and bulbs need special handling, so mention them when you call.
